“Physio PS uncovered a life-threatening heart condition my cardiologist completely missed.
I had no symptoms — just luck that I took the test.
Knowing how many people die from silent conditions like this every day, I took over the company to make sure others get the same chance I did.”
— Steve O’Leary, CEO, Physio PS
Physio PS was built to bridge the gap between
what traditional medicine sees and
what the body actually communicates.
We make the invisible measurable — uncovering root causes behind chronic, unexplained conditions that cost lives and billions in preventable healthcare spending.

To Whom it May Concern:
As a VA physician and Electrophysiologist, I have been working with the Physio PS, Inc. Parasympathetic and Sympathetic (P&S) Monitoring technology to the benefit of my patients for several years now. P&S monitoring technology provides additional information that aids in patient diagnosis that is not available through any other technology. Moreover, the personnel at Physio PS, Inc. have shown a deep concern and desire for the health of our Veterans.
As an example of the benefit of P&S Monitoring technology, I recently had a 26 year old patient, a former Navy Seal, who had been on full medical discharge for over 4 years. The patient suffered from toxic exposure while in service.
The patient was referred to me after two previous tilt-table tests and multiple batteries of blood tests and physical examinations.
At the time the patient weighed over 370 pounds and complained of severe lightheadedness (dizziness). Among several other symptoms that affected quality of life, the patient’s most critical personal concern was never having held his 2 year old daughter for fear of falling on her.
Rather than ordering yet a third tile-table and another battery of tests, I ordered a Physio PS ANS Monitoring Test and I contacted the Medical Director of Physio PS (the designer and developer of P&S Monitoring) for a consultation.
The patient was tested and I was able to provide a diagnosis of Vasovagal Syncope (VVS). VVS is a diagnosis often generated from tilt-table testing, it is neither sensitive nor specific for the condition and is not always able to make the diagnosis.
For this particular patient, the stress of the tilt-table itself caused a sympathetic response that balanced the vagal tone or parasympathetic excess (PE) the patient had developed; thereby, temporarily relieving the Vasovagal Syncope and preventing diagnosis. However, as soon as the patient came off the tilt-table, the symptoms returned.
The Physio PS ANS Monitoring Test is the only non-invasive technology that directly measures parasympathetic activity.
The patient was then treated for PE with very low-dose anti-cholinergic therapy and low-dose vasopressor, resulting in a relief of symptoms within a couple of weeks to where the patient reported being able to pick up his daughter and begin to exercise.
Within 12 months the patient was back to pre-exposure weight and an active lifestyle.
This patient is now free of medication.
Not only has P&S Monitoring saved the patient from continued suffering, but it has saved the system in terms of VA cost and resources. The cost of P&S Monitoring is less than one-tenth the costs of the testing for which the patient was originally referred.

For patients like this one, I am highly in support of Dr. Colombo and the Physio PS, Inc. technology.

Physio PS has been a gamechanger in uncovering the hidden autonomic dysfunctions that often underlie chronic fatigue, persistent pain, anxiety symptoms, and delayed recovery after whiplash and concussion. It’s given us answers when nothing else could — and a clear path to true healing.

I cannot say enough good things about Physio PS! This technology has done so much for me. I used to have terrible anxiety storms that would cause me to have high fevers. With this simple test, my doctor was able to find the root cause of my symptoms and prescribe a very low-dose medicine for about nine months to correct the primary problem. I have not had a high fever in four years!
